Refund & Cancellation Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy – Explore Wild India (Kanha National Park Safaris)

We value your trust and aim to deliver a smooth and transparent booking experience. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, changes, and refunds are handled for Kanha National Park safari and accommodation bookings made through Explore Wild India.


1. Booking Cancellation by Customer

All cancellation requests must be sent to us in writing via email or WhatsApp from the same number/email used during booking.

Cancellations are counted from the date and time we receive your written request.

Since safari permits in Kanha National Park are issued by government authorities and are strictly non-transferable, cancellation rules apply as below.


2. Refund Eligibility

Safari Permits (Government-Issued)

  • Safari permits are NON-REFUNDABLE in all cases once booked.
  • This rule is issued by the Forest Department and strictly followed.

Accommodation & Travel Services

Refunds may apply for services other than safari permits depending on the cancellation timeframe.


3. Standard Cancellation Charges

For Tour Packages, Accommodation, and Other Paid Services:

  • 30 days or more before arrival – 10% of total package cost
  • 15 to 29 days before arrival – 30% of the package cost
  • 7 to 14 days before arrival – 40% of the package cost
  • 2 to 6 days before arrival – 50% of the package cost
  • Less than 48 hours or No Show – No Refund

Peak Season Cancellations

During high-demand seasons (Holi, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, long weekends), a different cancellation policy may apply and will be informed at booking time.


4. Refund Processing Timeline

Once a cancellation request is approved, refunds will be initiated within:

  • 7–10 working days

Bank/Payment provider timelines may vary.


5. Conditions Where Refund Is Not Applicable
  • Safari permits already booked
  • No-show at the destination
  • Late arrival causing missed safari reporting time
  • Incorrect personal details provided for permit booking
  • Cancellations after service confirmation
  • Government rule changes or restrictions
  • Weather issues, strikes, forest closures, or natural causes

6. Company-Initiated Cancellations

Explore Wild India may cancel bookings under rare conditions such as:

  • Technical issues
  • Non-availability of service
  • Government restrictions
  • Park or safari zone closure

In such cases, a full refund will be processed for our service charges, excluding government permit fees (non-refundable).


7. Service Delivery Policy
  • Safari bookings are processed within 24 hours.
  • Support is available 24×7, including holidays.
  • System errors, government delays, or weather issues do not qualify for compensation.

8. Mode of Payment

We accept the following:

  • UPI / Net Banking
  • Visa / MasterCard / RuPay Cards
  • International Cards
  • Bank Transfer

Additional bank/gateway charges may apply where necessary.


9. Liabilities & Limitations

If government authorities revise:

  • Safari permit prices
  • Guide charges
  • GST / Taxes
  • Fuel surcharges
  • Other mandatory fees

The difference must be paid by the customer. Explore Wild India is not responsible for wildlife sightings, weather conditions, or natural events affecting safari operations.
